Diary of A Host: Girls Love Pink

kauna kitchen

Earlier this year, I had the opportunity to host 2 of my lady friends and this was what our time together looked like.

I prepared a 3 course meal and created an Afrofusion menu for this particular day. It was my first time making one of the recipes….but thank God it turned out well. I should take my own advice though….but please guys If you’re having people over to eat, don’t make something for them that you have never made before…Really, you may not be as lucky as I was and I definitely won’t take such a risk again. Take time to practice a recipe at least twice before you serve it you guests.๐Ÿ˜‰

In Nigerian language, I took garri a step up and made something deliciously sweet with it, believe me when I  say even my guests who are born and bred Nigerians didn’t know that they were having garri as dessert until I spelled it out for them….lol๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚..you should have seen the looks on their faces when I told them that, that tasty bowl of dessert they had just had was actually made with our ever faithful “GARRI“. Trust me they are not the first people I served my  garri dessert who had no clue that they were eating garri.

If you are interested in knowing what I did, keep your eyes open for my recipe for my “creamy cassava flake pudding” as I like to call it.

So that was the sum of our day and it ended on a beautiful note.I was even able to convince them to watch the first episode one of my favorite South Korean series….you can get friends to do almost anything after you’ve fed them๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ–’
