Suya Chicken Recipe

When last did you make Suya Chicken? …Uhmmmm…No more pondering. Join me and make this delectable suya chicken recipe. Thanks to my most recent trip to Nigeria, I had a taste of Suya again and was inspired to make this recipe when I returned. I checked for different versions online and I found one which seemed simple enough, adapted it and voila this is now the official recipe for Suya Chicken in my house.

Why chicken, you ask? Well, I prefer the moistness of the meat and it’s much easier to handle; I ‘m not yet ready to cut those beef pieces kebab style. Honestly, you will enjoy making and eating these goodies. Marinating the meat for a while if probably overnight is the key to get truly delicious and well spiced chicken. In addition, the yogurt (please use plain unsweetned yogurt, unless you want to eat vanilla or strawberry tasting suya chicken ;)) adds an extra level of moistness to the chicken.

If you don’t have all the dry ingredients, you can blend fresh ingredients instead and marinate the chicken that way. So let’s dive into the recipe.
